Board approves $24,769 for library building repairs

Board of Library Trustees - Grafton Public Library · Meeting of January 28, 2026

Grafton Library Board secures funds for emergency building repairs. The Board of Library Trustees voted unanimously to authorize $24,769.06 from state aid funds for critical water heating and HVAC repairs, and established a $20,000 annual emergency maintenance fund without requiring full Board approval for each expenditure. Library Director Katrina Ireland-Bilodeau reported the water heater will fail within six months and temperatures in the Historic Reading Room have dropped to 59 degrees Fahrenheit due to failing HVAC systems.

The Board also approved a website redesign contract with EpbRI to achieve ADA compliance by April 2027.
