Conservation Commission approves Tufts demolition and construction with soil testing condition

Grafton Conservation Commission approves permits for Tufts University and two other projects. The panel voted 4-0 to issue a permit for Tufts University to demolish and construct a building at 200 Westboro Road, with conditions requiring confirmatory soil testing before work to verify groundwater offsets for the subsurface infiltration system and coordination with the U.S. Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service.
Kelsey Kern of Nitsch Engineering presented the project, which followed a peer review from Graves Engineering. The Commission also approved a negative determination for Westboro Road and Route 30 intersection improvements with special erosion-control conditions and issued partial Certificates of Compliance for subdivision lots at 3 and 4 Abby Road.
