Council on Aging chair resigns, election planned for June

Grafton Council on Aging chair resigns, election set for June 11. Chair Annette McCarthy announced her resignation effective June 30, 2026, prompting the board to schedule an election for her replacement. Board member Peggy Hubbard is also departing at the end of her term.

The Council unanimously approved March meeting minutes. Director Stephenie Abate reported on programming successes including a successful Meet and Greet event with plans for monthly recurrence, summer Walk the Track activities, a Lunch and Learn event on June 3, and lawn games and bingo hosted by Grafton High School students on June 16 and 17.
