Grafton approves GAAP Recovery grant proposal

Grafton Opioid Recovery Community Partnership unanimously approves GAAP Recovery grant. The group heard updates from the Central Massachusetts Regional Health Department on a May 4 Mental Health First Aid training drawing 34 participants, nine from Grafton, and discussed planning for a National Opioid Awareness Day webinar on September 21 in partnership with Shrewsbury Youth. GAAP Recovery reported expansion of Narcan trainings and the D.A.R.E. program while raising concerns about xylazine mixing with fentanyl in the illicit drug supply.
Mary Lauria moved to accept the grant proposal, seconded by Roseanne Korpuska, passing unanimously.
