GRAFTON — The Grafton Historical Commission approves fountain relocation, launches new preservation awards initiative. Chair John Stephens led a four-member meeting where the commission unanimously approved December's minutes. Clerk Joann Duncan met with historic preservation consultant William Blake to develop specifications for the awards program, recruiting volunteers from the district commission and Historical Society.
The restored fountain will relocate to its originally planned site near the Common and Civil War Monument, pending district commission approval, after previously facing an alternative placement proposal.
