Historic District Commission approves flags for Common celebration

GRAFTON — The Grafton Historic District Commission unanimously approved American flags to be displayed at each Common entrance from Memorial Day through August, extending the typical seasonal display to recognize the 250th United States anniversary. Chair William Nicholson presided with four members present; Brad Schlapak moved approval of Bill Hanley's application, which John Stephens seconded. The Commission also addressed updates on museum signs awaiting approval, planned improvements to Common buildings, and a potential Common expansion to include the O'Hara Barn at 17 Upton Street.
