Historical Commission honors artist, approves digital history trail project

Grafton Historical Commission establishes new resident distinction award, reviews digital history trail proposal. Chair John Stephens welcomed newest member Neil Flanigan. Vice Chair Paul Scarlett moved to accept plein air artist Bernard Corey as the first Grafton Resident of Distinction, a newly broadened award recognizing residents who have contributed to the town.
The commission also reviewed the Grafton History Trail, a QR-code digital project that would place placards at six conservation sites including Silver Lake and Pell Farm, linking residents to historical content on the town website.
