Historical Commission · Meeting of August 13, 2026

GRAFTON — The Historical Commission unanimously reelected its officers at the August 13 meeting. Chair John Stephens, Vice Chair Paul Scarlett, and Clerk Joann Duncan were reelected with five members attending; Neil Flanigan and Carol Dunn were absent. The commission approved meeting minutes from April and June, and discussed ongoing preservation projects including an annually updated endangered properties list for the town website.

Board member Joann Duncan reported on planning to place a restored fountain on the library lawn. The Certified Local Government Annual Report, coordinated by Brad Schlapak and due in September, enables Grafton to apply for and receive state grant funds for preservation.
