Grafton opioid committee confirms GAAP Recovery's first-year success, plans Year 2 expansion. The Grafton Opioid Recovery Community Partnership heard progress reports and discussed outreach strategy, including potential bookmarks with recovery resource links and Narcan-training programs. The Central Massachusetts Health District reported 35 participants registered for Mental Health First Aid training on May 4 at Shrewsbury Public Library, including 10 from Grafton.
Police Lieutenant James Crosby informed the committee that the Grafton Police Department operates six AEDs in cruisers and one at headquarters, and that AEDs are eligible for opioid-abatement funding as emergency response equipment; he committed to bringing a formal proposal to the committee. ===END BRIEF===
