Veterans committee approves flag purchases, plans holiday ceremonies

Grafton Veterans Advisory Committee approves flag purchases for summer holiday events. The committee voted to purchase flags for July 4th celebrations, not to exceed $1,000, and approved invoices for signs and parade flags. Committee Secretary Shawn McAvey will coordinate with Grafton High School for buglers at a planned ceremony on the Common.
Working with American Legion Post 92 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the committee plans coordinated Memorial Day and Independence Day events, and will recognize American Legion Post 92 for its service organizing the Memorial Day Parade.
