Worcester Line Construction Schedule To Disrupt Grafton Commuters Through September
GRAFTON — A temporary construction schedule on the MBTA's Worcester Line will affect Grafton commuters through September, while Town Hall is recruiting residents to serve as community liaisons and a fall pet vaccine clinic has been added to the town calendar.
TOWN HALL
The MBTA and Keolis, the Commuter Rail's operations and maintenance partner, have posted a temporary construction schedule affecting the Worcester Line, the town's website shows. The altered schedule took effect at the end of July and will remain in place until September, meaning Grafton riders using the town's rail stop should expect changes to their regular trains in the coming weeks.
Separately, the town is recruiting volunteers for a new Community Liaisons program. The News Flash post asks residents who are "passionate about connecting with members of your community and advocating for community needs" to apply, though it does not specify a deadline or the number of openings.
The town also posted notice of a Shrewsbury Pet Vaccine Clinic, set for Aug. 29, giving residents an early heads-up ahead of the end-of-summer date.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Grafton Cultural Council has booked a concert on the Common this weekend, with the show scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, and a rain date reserved for Sunday, Aug. 9, according to the town's events calendar.
