Grafton Schools Open Kindergarten Registration, Streamline Supply Lists
GRAFTON — Grafton Public Schools has opened Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year and centralized its student supply lists, part of a wave of back-to-school preparations landing on the district calendar ahead of the Aug. 26 first day of classes.
SCHOOLS The district said it has streamlined and centralized supply lists for elementary and middle school students to clarify what Grafton Public Schools provides directly, ending confusion some families have raised in past years. Kindergarten registration for 2026-2027 is now open for parents, guardians, and caregivers.
Several dated events lead up to the new year: sixth graders can pick up Chromebooks on Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 at the Grafton High/Middle School parking lot, and incoming second graders are invited to a Popsicle Social on Aug. 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Grafton High School is also running iPad deployment sessions for new students and ninth graders this summer. Staff report for professional development days Aug. 24 and 25, with students returning districtwide on Aug. 26.
COMMUNITY & ARTS Grafton Public Library's summer reading program, "Plant a Seed, Read!," remains open to all ages, and the library continues its drop-in cribbage games every Friday afternoon for residents looking for a casual weekly gathering spot on the Common.
