Grafton Planning Board backs Woodland Hill street acceptance

Planning Board · Meeting of August 24, 2026

Grafton Planning Board unanimously backs Woodland Hill street acceptance recommendation for town boards. At its August 24 meeting, the board approved a report recommending street acceptance at Woodland Hill for presentation to the Select Board and Fall Town Meeting, with Member David Robbins making the motion and Member Robert Hassinger seconding. It also unanimously closed a public hearing on a 540-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at 41 Pleasant Street and directed staff to draft a decision; owner Nancy Buffone confirmed the unit was for her son, not rental.

The board discussed shifting Planning Board selection from elected to appointed positions; the Charter Review Subcommittee noted that approximately 70 percent of Massachusetts municipalities elect Planning Board members while 25 to 30 percent appoint them.
