Town Moderator Seeks Volunteer For Charter Review Committee

GRAFTON — Grafton's town moderator is recruiting a resident to fill a vacancy on the Charter Review Committee, which is conducting a full review of the town's Home Rule Charter and will recommend changes at the October 18, 2027 Town Meeting.

TOWN HALL

The Town Moderator is looking for an interested resident to join the Charter Review Committee, according to a town vacancy notice. The panel is midway through a comprehensive review of Grafton's Home Rule Charter, the document that sets out the structure of town government, and plans to bring recommended changes before voters at the October 18, 2027 Town Meeting.

Separately, the town's official News Flash channel marked National Opioid Awareness Day on Sept. 18, one of just a handful of alerts the town posted this week. The town also flagged a "Stay Healthy This Season" notice pointing residents toward flu clinic information as the fall season gets underway.

SCHOOLS

Grafton Public Schools, led by Superintendent James Cummings, told families that mid-term progress reports and end-of-term report cards for the 2026-27 school year will be available only through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Printed copies will no longer be sent home with students or mailed, the district said.

The district also said it has streamlined and centralized school supply lists for elementary and middle school students for 2026-27, aiming to clarify exactly what the district provides versus what families need to buy.
