Board allows withdrawal of contested access variance
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of January 8, 2026
Grafton's Zoning Board of Appeals heard two cases Thursday, with one application withdrawn and the other continued. Attorney Henry Lane sought a variance for 31 Old Westboro Road to permit access from North Street instead of Old Westboro Road, citing wetland issues and municipal sewer and water access, but neighbors opposed and the applicant withdrew without prejudice; the board voted 5-0 to allow withdrawal. In a second matter, the board voted 5-0 to continue an appeal by Kevin Bowman of Zoning Enforcement Officer Tracy Sharkey's decision regarding parking at 60 Waterville Street to Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
Sharkey had determined the parking bylaw provision does not apply to residential driveways.
