Charter Subcommittee Advances Select Board Voting Study
Charter Review Committee · Meeting of August 3, 2026
GRAFTON — Charter Review Committee's Section 2 subcommittee votes to advance Select Board Town Meeting voting process. The five-member group unanimously approved continuing to pursue a formal recommendation process for Select Board members on warrant articles, mirroring the Finance Committee model. Member Dawn Anderson's research surveying moderators in other Massachusetts towns confirmed that Select Board members vote as residents at Town Meeting with no special voting authority.
The subcommittee will advance this work toward charting changes to Section 2, with the next meeting set for September 2.
