Select Board appoints four to Common study panel

Select Board · Meeting of August 11, 2026

Grafton Select Board splits 3-2 on picks for new Common traffic study committee. Members appointed Chuck Chalupka, Michael Gladstone, Brian Houle and John Bouchard over objections from Craig Dauphinais, who wanted Dave Lisbon and Chris Marino instead, saying "it just seems like very shortsighted" to leave off a longtime police officer. The board also reviewed Grafton Middle School roof financing, with $6.446 million now available against a $5.5 million estimate and $946,000 in unneeded capital funds still to be allocated.

Dauphinais separately pushed for an independent operations audit costing $27,000 to $100,000, calling it "an investment in our town." The board also swore in officer Tanner Crew and approved Tufts University alcohol permits for two campus events.
