Board of Health · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Grafton Board of Health reports district now fully staffed as housing case nears March 31 court deadline. Regional Public Health Director Annette Garcia told the board a court injunction requires compliance in a pending housing case "by the end of March," while Regional Environmental Health Specialist McKenzie Falker has returned from maternity leave, restoring the Central Massachusetts Regional Health District to full staffing. The district reported spending roughly $310,000 of its $461,014 Public Health Excellence Grant budget for fiscal 2026, with 67 percent projected spent by June 30.

Regional Public Health Nurse Bridget Hurley logged 49 flu cases and 13 COVID-19 cases in Grafton in February, plus two Boston-area measles cases under monitoring. Garcia said tobacco-retailer education letters on flavored nicotine products, "we haven't issued any citations," drew coverage from the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and inquiries from Boston 25 and Spectrum News 1. No substantive votes were taken beyond procedural motions to open and close the meeting.
