Recreation Commission · Meeting of February 2, 2026
Grafton Recreation Commission approves prior minutes and hears record Summer Days sales. Three commissioners attended the February 2 meeting and voted unanimously to approve the January 12 minutes. Recreation Director Adam Lapointe reported the Summer Days program generated record-breaking $297,000 in registration sales, reaching 95 percent capacity within five minutes of opening at 8am, with 20 to 25 children on the waitlist.
Lapointe also briefed the board on a proposed $1.4 million town override, noting that failure would eliminate approximately 18 school staff positions and remove beach staff salaries from the general fund, and said he is developing contingency plans for summer operations.
